Question by Julian L: How to become high school teacher?
Hello, I was unsure of the route to becoming a high school teacher?.
I?m a student majoring in English at the University of Chicago, and plan on getting a masters in education upon graduation?. is this basically all I need? The graduate courses in education will provide me with the hands on teaching experience right? Also would it be faster to just double major in education and english and go straight into teaching (and can you do that)?

most states will require a state certification to be able to teach. Yes the graduate courses do provide hands on experience on teaching as most of them require internship periods where you will be in a teaching environment. Check with you state for certification requirements
