Whispering Ways: Be the hands, heart and home....

I have always thought and knew , what an impact it would make in the lives of children everywhere if Christians/believers stood up to the plate and heeded Gods Word on caring for the orphans, children needing a family. I read this following post and my heart just pounded with urgency. Just yesterday, one of those statistics, was on the farm. I saw her laugh at animals, giggle at a kitten, jump on a trampoline and smile. I saw a little life needing a forever family.

From heart4adoption blog:
Yesterday we posted information on our "Adoption Alerts" page about a young girl who has been in the foster care system for five years. Five years! That is way to long and, in my mind, simply unacceptable. Statistics tell us that if the foster care system in America does not change by 2012, 75,000 former foster children will be released from the system and be homeless. Each year, approximately 30,000 young people leave the foster care system without lifelong families, most at age 18. We must have a sense of urgency when it comes to foster care. If by next year 75,000 foster kids will be homeless, we have alot of work to do to prevent that from happening.
We need our government to make the adoption process much easier than it is now.
We need the 800 million people in our country who claim to be Christians to step up and be obedient to Gods call to help the orphans in their distress.
?We need prayer warriors who will commit to pray daily for the half-million foster children in our country. We here at heart4adoption cannot and will not rest until we do all we can do to find homes for these children. We will pray, hold events, post information, blog, do whatever we can to reach our goal. Will you join us in this mission? Will you pray about your role in regards to adoption? Will you pray for us, for the children? We can't do this without you. Thank you for reading and have a good night.
